Mirroring its more expensive competition, the Techole RCA to HDMI Converter also comes employing a robust conversion module, relying upon 10-bit maximal 162MSPS sampling that can automatically detect and convert an analog signal into a Full HD 1080p (60Hz) output, revamping old media with sharp and realistic details. The cables that are shipped with this device are a little fragile, so we're not crazy about that. Lastly, unlike most converters nowadays, this one is shipped with an AC adapter, so you can even use it with TVs that do not have a USB port. The spacing between the ports is generous, so even cables with the fattest heads will not be able to block neighboring ports. Between these supports, the device works with cameras, VCRs, DVD players, old game consoles (NES, SNES, Sega Megadrive, Game Cube, Wii, WiiU, N64, Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, even Atari), and more. To add more, the model will let you have S-Video and Composite video inputs connected at the same time, so you can switch between the two inputs using the switch button.
These include standard 480i(NTSC) and 576i(PAL) signal inputs but the device can also upscale them, turning low-res visuals into HD and Full HD (7p respectively). That said, I am returning this device as it is of no use to me.The Easycel RCA S-Video to HDMI Converter can convert RCA, Composite, CVBS, AV, or S-Video signals to an HDMI signal.
It is assumed that it works with any HDMI device. The converter did not come with any instructions, nor does the packaging indicate that it may be incompatible with some devices. Many people have said that the converter works with Roku streaming players.
I also tried using the converter to connect the Roku device to a more modern HD TV via the TV's composite inputs and had the same problem as before - a distorted picture. The Roku Premiere+ does not have the option to set the output resolution to 480, so I was unable to try that. I tried lowering the output resolution on the Roku from 1080 to 720 but that made absolutely no difference whatsoever. When I turn on the TV and the Roku device, I get a distorted picture. For whatever reason, it does not seem to work. I purchased this converter so that I could connect my Roku Premiere+ to an old analog CRT TV via the TV's composite inputs.
